Schoolteacher Bonnie can’t seem to make sense of Alma, a beautiful, meddlesome drifter, and is even more rattled by her attraction to her — but as their encounters become increasingly fraught and the shadows of warning lengthen, Bonnie begins to wonder whether Alma’s spell ends in rapture or in ruin.
